Why yes we do! The stain and water resistant fabrics are exclusively made for the "Liege" fabric range that we have, which is a blend of linen and viscose.
We wanted to create the ultimate fabric that feels good, looks pretty and super simple to clean.
With that said, our Liege fabrics are based off something called "Nanocoating", which is essentially a chemical coating that goes onto these fabrics that gives it those stain and water resistant properties.
Is this Nanocoating Safe?
There's been much controversy over these chemicals, one famous case being Scotchgard. Essentially the chemicals used are similar but what makes them dangerous is the byproduct known as perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA).
Without getting into the nitty-gritty, Nanocoating produces perfluorohexanoic acid (PFHA) which is 100% biodegradable. PFOA isn't biodegradable and can cause detriment to our environment.
In a nutshell, Nanocoating is thankfully, very safe :)
